What you will do

Packaging Operators contribute to the Guelph team while operating solid and liquid dosage packaging equipment. This function also includes line set up and assembly, operating material handling equipment, cleaning and sanitation of all related equipment and work areas, and the accurate documentation of these activities. Packaging Operators are committed to continuous quality improvement involving the identification and implementation of process improvements. The individual will be required to monitor equipment functions, troubleshoot, and correct minor equipment issues. This is for Afternoon Shift- 3pm-11pm EST

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate solid and liquid dosage packaging equipment including line setup/assembly, operating material handling equipment, cleaning and sanitation of all related equipment and work areas, alongside the accurate documentation of these activities

  • Perform appropriate levels of cleanliness and housekeeping standards as outlined consistent with the requirements for Good Manufacturing Practices Maintains equipment and tools in a clean, safe operating condition.

  • Completes all required training in a timely manner

  • Accurate and timely recording and tagging of case counts, downtime and SKU changes in the production management system (Cockpit, Vorne, Line Boards)

  • Functions in compliance with all GMP’s safety, requirements and applicable standard operating procedures

  • Participates with leadership, in team and department meetings, as well as daily shift communications and communications with supervisor, manager

  • Performs other related or assigned duties as required in all assigned areas

What are we looking for

Education:

  • At least a High School Diploma or GED equivalency is required

Experience:

  • 2-4 years of packaging operator experience in a regulated environment is required

  • Strong computer literacy is required

  • Experience working in a Pharmaceutical/OTC and/or GMP environment is required

  • Proven ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team environment with limited supervision

What’s in it for you

Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges:$41,000.00 - $66,470.00

This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate’s skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors.
