What You Will Do
The Pilot Plant and Laboratory Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of our pilot plant and laboratory facilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a team of technicians, ensuring the successful execution of experiments, and supporting the development of new processes and products. This role requires a strong understanding of Good Manufacturing Principles, laboratory practices, and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead the pilot plant and laboratory team, including training, and performance management.
- Plan, execute, and oversee pilot plant and laboratory activities to support the business (NPD / NPI, base business & trouble shooting, Strategic Initiatives)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D departments, Tec Ops and quality and compliance, to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines.
- Develop, implement, and optimize standard operating procedures (SOPs) for laboratory and pilot plant operations.
- Ensure compliance with documentation related to laboratory operations. Manage the CRIM (Change Request Information Management) process and ensure proper archiving of laboratory documents.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues that arise in the pilot plant or laboratory.
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to enhance laboratory and pilot plant operations.
- Participate to Audit and Gemba
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Chemistry, Biology, Cosmetology Sciences and Technologies or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a pharmaceutical, chemical or cosmetic industry, in an R&D laboratory or pilot plant environment.
- Proven experience in team leadership and project management.
- Strong understanding of experimental design, data analysis, and process optimization.
- Fluent English skills [both written and spoken]
- Open-minded approach with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Detail-oriented with a focus on compliance, GMP and quality
- Proficient in using laboratory equipment and software for data analysis
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and safety standards related to laboratory operations.
