What you will do
The Principal Scientist, R&D Oral care is responsible for independently working on complex projects in oral care, identify and work on new scientific concepts and technologies. You will analyze data, improve methodologies, ensure quality project execution, and contribute to advancing oral care innovations:
Key Responsibilities
Lead and independently execute pioneering research projects focused on the discovery, development, and optimization of innovative oral care technologies and formulations that enhance efficacy and user experience.
Design and execute innovative experimental protocols, analyze multifactorial data, and interpret results to unravel molecular mechanisms behind oral health and disease prevention, informing technical decisions and project direction.
Collaborate cross-functionally with product development, regulatory, marketing teams, and other stakeholders to translate scientific discoveries into market-ready solutions and drive project milestones and innovation.
Mentor and guide junior scientists, fostering a culture of creativity, scientific excellence, and collaboration within the R&D team.
Utilize advanced analytical techniques, data-driven approaches, and continuously improve materials, processes, and scientific procedures to optimize oral care product performance, quality, accuracy, safety, and relevance of research outcomes.
Drive intellectual property generation by identifying novel oral care technologies and securing patents.
Ensure rigorous documentation, data integrity, and compliance with regulatory standards throughout all stages of research.
Prepare and review detailed technical reports, manuscripts, and presentations to communicate findings to internal and external stakeholders.
Stay at the forefront of oral health science by integrating emerging trends and cutting-edge technologies into research strategies.
What we are looking for
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree or equivalent in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a relevant scientific discipline
6-8 years of progressive research and development experience in oral care or related fields
Strong knowledge of oral care science, formulation science, materials science, or related fields
Experience with regulatory requirements and quality standards applicable to scientific research and product development
Proven expertise in designing and conducting independent research projects involving complex data analysis and interpretation
Excellent technical writing skills for preparation of reports, publications, and regulatory documentation
Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision while effectively managing multiple projects and priorities
Desired Qualifications
Proven track record of leading innovative research projects resulting in successful product launches or patents in the oral care domain
Deep understanding of oral biology and regulatory landscapes governing oral care products
Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to design and interpret complex experiments and translate findings into actionable insights
Strong communication and leadership abilities to inspire multidisciplinary teams and effectively present scientific concepts to diverse audiences
Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including mentoring and collaborating within multidisciplinary teams
Demonstrated proficiency in leveraging advanced analytical tools and bioinformatics to drive research innovation
Passion for continuous learning and staying updated with the latest scientific advancements and industry trends in oral care
