What you will do

We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Production Scheduler (f/m/d) to join our team in Wuppertal on a one year fixed-term contract. This role is critical in ensuring efficient production planning, optimizing resource utilization, and meeting customer demand. The Production Scheduler (f/m/d) will be responsible for creating and maintaining schedules using Compass while managing production workflows in BPCS ERP.

The ideal candidate has experience in fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, as well as excellent English and German communication skills to collaborate across teams in a global environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, update, and optimize production schedules in Compass to ensure on-time order fulfillment while balancing capacity constraints and raw material availability.

  • Utilize BPCS ERP to manage work orders, track inventory levels, and execute material requirements planning (MRP).

  • Coordinate with supply chain, procurement, and production teams to align schedules with demand forecasts and minimize stock imbalances.

  • Analyze production data, identify scheduling bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve manufacturing efficiency.

  • Adjust schedules based on changes in customer orders, raw material availability, or equipment downtime to minimize disruptions.

  • Support inventory management strategies, ensuring optimal stock levels while reducing waste and excess inventory.

  • Generate and present reports on production performance, schedule adherence, and capacity utilization.

  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 2-3 years of experience in production scheduling, supply planning, or a related role within a healthcare FMCG manufacturing environment.

  • Experience in BPCS ERP and Compass scheduling system is required.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex production scheduling challenges.

  • Fluent in German (written and spoken) and very good in English to effectively communicate with global and local stakeholders.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, inventory management, and supply chain principles is a plus.

  • Self-driven, positive minded Teammate, dare to challenge status quo.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a pharmaceutical, medical devices, or personal care manufacturing environment.

  • Understanding of MRP, finite capacity scheduling, and supply chain optimization.

  • APICS/CPIM certification or other supply chain certifications are a plus.
