What you will do
The Scientist will be responsible for leading global and regional projects for marketed products, ensuring business innovation through scientific advancements. This role involves being part of the microbiological research and development laboratory team, wherein the Scientist will spearhead activities related to the formulation of strategies for global projects, the qualification of pharmacopoeial microbiological methodologies for both finished products and raw materials, and effective interaction with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Active participation in the microbiology laboratory routine related to the maintenance of microorganisms, promotion of growth, qualification of biological indicators, etc.
- Preparation for sterilization of materials, culture media, and reagents.
- Maintenance, qualification, and calibration of equipment.
- Strategy formulation in accelerated and long-term stability studies for cosmetic products in global projects.
- Conducting activities related to the qualification of pharmacopoeial microbiological methodologies for finished products and raw materials.
- Development, review, and execution of microbiological qualification protocols and reports.
- Preparation and review of technical documentation and reports for microbiological qualifications.
- Structuring and managing quality records, such as investigations, CAPAs, and risk assessments.
- Ability to communicate clearly with the internal organization and global teams.
- Effectively collaborate with project members, adhering to priorities, checkpoints, and deadlines to support objectives.
- Maintain a proactive mindset for identifying opportunities to improve our processes.
- Manage and coordinate low and high complexity projects with cross-functional team and SMEs, report metrics, and interact with and/or lead cross-functional teams to implement projects.
- Work independently to drive technical resolutions.
What we are looking for
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Biology, Biomedicine, or related fields.
- 2 to 4 years of experience in a microbiological development laboratory.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry and a solid background in microbiology.
- Experience in the qualification/validation of testing methods according to pharmacopoeias/ISOs.
- Advanced English.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s, Doctorate, or Postdoctoral degree in the field of Microbiology.
- Intermediate Spanish.
- Experience in sterilization processes, validation of methods for sterile products according to ISOs and pharmacopoeias.
- Experience in metagenomic analyses.
- Power BI.
