This position reports into the Quality Control Supervisor and is based at Guelph, Ontario.

Role reports to: Quality Control Supervisor

What you will do

The Quality Technician II (Ordering) plays a key support role in the laboratory by managing the receipt, organization, and distribution of materials and samples. This position is responsible for overseeing procurement processes for laboratory consumables and capital project supplies, ensuring compliance with GMP, GLP, and GDP standards while contributing to laboratory readiness and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support laboratory testing programs by organizing and preparing reagents and solutions.

  • Receive and manage raw materials, packaging components, production samples, and marketed product stability samples into LIMS.

  • Ship samples to external contract laboratories as needed.

  • Oversee the purchasing of laboratory consumables, supplies, and capital project items.

  • Order and maintain the chemical inventory, including vendor communication, quote procurement, PO creation, and invoice reconciliation.

  • Perform general housekeeping and dishwashing activities to maintain an audit-ready lab environment.

  • Maintain detailed and accurate records in line with GDPs.

  • Adhere to GMP, GLP, and corporate safety/environmental standards through SOP compliance and training participation.

  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives for lab systems and processes.

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications

  • Completion of a B.Sc in a Science-related field is considered an asset.

  • Experience in laboratory techniques (asset).

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Comfortable using various computer programs.

  • Knowledge of GMP, GDP, and GLP practices.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
