HybridWhat you will do
We are seeking an R&D Scientist II – Suncare to join our Skin Health & Beauty R&D team. In this role, you will contribute to the development, optimization, and lifecycle management of sun protection products, ensuring high performance, safety, regulatory compliance, and consumer satisfaction. . Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute formulation development for suncare products (e.g., lotions, sprays, sticks) aligned with brand strategies
- Conduct lab-scale formulation, laboratory tests, stability studies, and performance evaluations (SPF in-vitro and sensorial attributes)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (eg: Regulatory, Safety, Marketing, Quality, and Manufacturing) to support research and development initiatives, contributing with technical expertise and insights.
- Drive troubleshooting and reformulation efforts for product improvements and cost optimization
- Support technology transfers and scale-up activities
- Ensure compliance with internal standards and global regulatory requirements
- Be consumer obsessed and stay up to date with emerging technologies, ingredients, and market trends in suncare
- Contribute to documentation, reporting, and project timelines
What we are looking for
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy, or related field
- Relevant experience in cosmetic or personal care R&D, preferably in suncare or with emulsions
- Intellectual curiosity, good communication, influencing skills and teamwork.
- knowledge of formulation science and ingredient functionality
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work in a cross-functional environment
- Advanced English (written and spoken)
