What you will do

The AP and Payments Team Lead is responsible for:

• Managing Accounts Payable and Payment operational processes including daily operations, driving process efficiency and automation. Ensuring payment processes meet all compliance requirements.
• Establishing, modifying and documenting implementation of payment control procedures.
• Ensuring a seamless experience for the business partners/ being an escalation point  
• Leading a team of 6 people, this includes all aspects of people management, especially developing, evaluating and motivating team members.
• Leading and supporting various projects in AP & Payment area, closely collaborate with peers from other functions within Procurement, Finance, local business, Global Treasury teams and other regions.  
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor the performance of the team and define improvements

• Actively manage communication within the team (meetings, 1:1, etc.)

• Actively manage communication within other teams, regions, business partners, Global Treasury teams

• Identify development trends and take corrective actions when necessary

• Receive, analyze, and resolve process inquiries and disputes, and be a point of escalation

• People management (6-8 people)

• Actively manage improvements, capacity and effectiveness within the team

• Drive improvements, user experience, effectiveness and efficiency

• Focus on increasing automation

• Provide support / feedback to R2P leadership

• Work closely with other regions to align on process standardization, technology and org design (including continuous improvement and compliance)


What We Are Looking For:

Required Qualifications:

• Required Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field

• Required Years of Related Experience: 5 years

• Knowledge of AP or payment processes

• Experience interacting with business partners

• People management

• Languages – Fluency in English; additional European language is a plus

Desired Qualifications:

• Demonstrated effective remote working with business partners

• Excellent interpersonal and people leadership skills

• Proven ability to successfully drive and manage change

• Prior experience in a shared services environment is preferred

• Builds strong business relationships based on transparency and trust

• Demonstrated experience problem solving and dealing with ambiguity

• Professional Certification (i.e. C.P.M. or CPIM or CSCP) is preferred

• Six Sigma Black and/or Green Belt is preferred
