What you will do

The Regional Business Executive (RBE) is responsible for strategically leading an elite team of Retail Account Executive(s) (RAE) to reach target consumption goals for their region. The primary objectives of this role are to develop and execute strategies to achieve high-performance objectives, ensure regional business sales and budget targets are achieved, and coach a team of RAEs and/or independent contractors to perform to brand culture values. This position reports directly to the National Field Sales Manager.

The ideal candidate must have previous management experience, enjoy the retail environment, and demonstrate the ability to lead a team with confidence and agility. The RBE must be highly organized and have strong time management skills. Effective communication, timely reporting practices and a collaborative approach with manager, teammates, and RAE(s) to develop business within the region, is a must. This position requires up to 40% travel to work within the specified region side-by-side with direct reports.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor strategic plans for the region in order to deliver results

  • Collaborate with RBE team and Customer Development Manager to identify business needs, opportunities, and plans of action

  • Connect weekly with direct report RAE(s) to ensure proper market management

  • Participate in weekly RBE calls

  • Coordinate administrative demands and in field objectives

  • Analyze sales reports; identify and communicate business trends within the region

  • Maintain a schedule that supports administrative responsibilities and development of field team

  • Provide consistent, timely, clear direction, communication, and feedback to team

  • Achieve targeted sales growth within region while staying within budgetary parameters, as outlined by the Customer Development Manager

  • Coach and develop RAE(s) through market visits and conference calls to continuously assess and evaluate productivity, sales, and training results

  • Ensure action plans are executed throughout region to address market needs

  • Educate and train store staff with a focus on product knowledge and selling skills

  • Utilize RAE(s), experience, marketing, training, and sales tools to support fiscal sales plan achievement

  • Develop and build strong relationships with RAE team, store management and staff

  • Recruit, coach and develop RAE(s)

  • Recruit, coach and develop a team of freelancers (if applicable)

  • Create opportunities to recognize and celebrate team achievements

  • Develop a culture of exceptional service and lead team to perform their best

  • Stretch assignments as needed


OPERATIONAL:

  • Maintain weekly communication with the Retail Account Executive(s) regarding business opportunities and solutions

  • Manage with KPIs and ROI at forefront

  • Collect, verify, and communicate regional reports including but not limited to sales reports, payroll reports, market management tools, and stock concerns

  • Complete and submit all business reports in a timely manner

  • Support in-store merchandising and visual programs and communicate challenges

  • Follow up on event timelines with RAE(s), store teams and freelancers, to ensure optimal event execution and store participation

  • This job balances time between store visits and the office (approx.: 40% in store, 60% office time)

  • At all times, maintain Brand Standards, while following designated ULTA protocol(s)
     

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Candidates should be based in the West region to be considered for this role

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the beauty industry is required

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in retail sales is required

  • A Minimum of 2 years previous management experience is required

  • Prestige beauty experience is preferred

  • Experience managing direct reports and/or a team of freelancers is preferred

  • Ability to think strategically, with proven ability to drive sales inspire, coach, and develop a team

  • Detail-oriented with experience assessing and analyzing sales performance & budget reporting

  • A valid driver's license issued in the United States and a good driving record

  • Must demonstrate leadership skills and the ability to consistently deliver strong results

  • Must have the ability to self-start and motivate team members as well as retail partners

  • Prioritize and organize work activities

  • Work effective schedule to reflect administrative and retail business needs (weekends, holidays, etc.)

  • Self-motivated with ability to work both independently & collaboratively in a fast-paced, changing environment

  • Must have an ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint

What’s in it for you

Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges:

$78.200,00 - $110.400,00

This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate’s skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors.
