What you will do

The Reliability Engineer will provide technical support to the maintenance, operations and capital project departments on all equipment reliability matters. You will drive the overall site goal of maximizing equipment performance through improved maintenance and reliability in a cost optimized manner.

  • Providing input into equipment design, selection, construction, commissioning and qualification activities.
  • Providing technical assistance to maintenance personnel and other departments as required.
  • Developing reliability procedures and equipment files.
  • Assisting with generation, review and revision of maintenance documentation.
  • Developing & maintaining a site asset criticality list, asset condition list, condition based / time based / predictive maintenance plans, & downtime measurement tools
  • Optimizing the site preventive maintenance program (RCM/FMECA based).
  • Developing and owning the condition monitoring program.
  • Assisting in the preparation of appropriate spare parts strategy to ensure maximum availability of equipment.
  • Supporting execution of equipment replacement projects.
  • Providing technical support to resolve all Quality investigations and compliance audit issues.
  • Supporting troubleshooting and resolution of breakdowns in manufacturing in a timely manner.
  • Assisting in accomplishing site-level Continuous Improvement Projects and Initiatives
  • Analyzing equipment data to formulate plans for improvement of equipment performance.
  • Developing a loss measurement system.
  • Leading / Facilitating Root cause failure analysis activities on critical assets.
  • Eliminating recurring equipment problems (Design-Out maintenance).
  • Working with other departments to improve equipment reliability through the Managing the Manufacturing Equipment Excellence program.
  • Supporting the implementation of the Operator Asset Care (OAC) and OpTech programs.
  • Optimizing costs whilst maintaining department performance.
  • Training and mentoring technicians and colleagues in department procedures and techniques, as required.
  • Participation in Factory Acceptance Testing as required

What we are looking for

  • Minimum of Bachelor degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or similar field of study (STEM) is required.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in engineering, technical and/or operations experience is required.
  • Previous experience as a maintenance engineer or maintenance technician in food and beverage industry is a plus.
  • Previous shop floor troubleshooting of equipment issues and recovery and good knowledge of mechanical systems is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Quality Improvement Process (QIP), and Validation and Process Excellence strategies in pharmaceutical manufacturing environment is desired.

What’s in it for you

Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges:

$110,500.00 - $156,000.00

This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate’s skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors.
