What You Will Do 

The SaaS Analyst is responsible for performing end-to-end SaaS Accounting finance operations & controllership role for a specific region which includes creating Internal orders, maintaining asset register, posting capitalization & amortization journals, performing reconciliations, providing consolidation & segment reporting inputs relating to SaaS Accounting, interacting cross functionally with Tech business partner & FP&A to execute the applicable SOX controls and support audit & external reporting deliverables:
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in all finance operations activities related to SaaS accounting, ensuring accurate capitalization and recognition of expenses related to SaaS contracts and compliance with company policy, relevant regulatory requirements for that region and relevant accounting standards. This includes capital spend tracking and amortization schedule maintenance.

  • Analyze the financial implications of changes to SaaS contracts, providing insights on accounting treatment and financial impact

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and validate data related to SaaS transactions

  • Prepare and maintain documentation for SaaS accounting processes, including policies & procedures.

  • Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes related to SaaS accounting

  • Monitor and analyze SaaS-related financial metrics, identifying trends and opportunities for process improvements

  • Deep dive the existing SaaS process and identifying opportunities for process improvements and automation initiatives

  • Assist during audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries related to SaaS accounting

Compliance

  • Assist the team with any audit requests raised from the Legal Entity Controllership team 

  • Adhere to company policies and procedures to comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)  

What We Are Looking For
 

Required Skills

  • Experience in SAP, Excel, and other Microsoft tools

  • 1-3 years of experience in accounting, problem solving, process improvement, and communication

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with employees at all levels 

  • Be open to new ideas, rapid change and embracing new technologies 

  • Experience in a SaaS accounting department desirable 

  • Be organized and work efficiently to tight deadlines 

  • Solid US GAAP and IFRS accounting knowledge preferrable 

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required, preferably in accounting or finance

Language Skills

  • Fluent English, other language skills desirable
