What you will do

The R&D Analytical Scientist supports Self Care projects across regional and global scopes in Latin America by leading the strategy and execution of analytical qualification activities for Drug Substances and Excipients. The role applies strong analytical chemistry expertise to drive raw material characterization, test method development and validation, while authoring and reviewing high quality technical documentation in full compliance with standard operating procedures and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
·    Serve as the analytical representative for Self Care projects, executing laboratory activities including method development, validation, transfer, and release for Drug Substances and Excipients. 
·    Apply advanced and diversified expertise in instrumental and wet chemistry techniques, including chromatography (HPLC, GC), spectroscopy (FT IR, Raman, NIR), thermal analysis (DSC, TGA), titration, and gravimetry. 
·    Prepare, review, and maintain high quality technical documentation, including analytical method assessments, validation and transfer protocols, reports, specifications, and technical justifications in compliance with procedures and regulatory requirements.
·    Leverage a digital and data driven mindset to identify opportunities for continuous improvement, process optimization, and efficiency gains across analytical operations
·    Perform analytical investigations, data analysis, root cause identification, and troubleshooting to resolve method and material related issues. 
·    Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency in proactively addressing technical challenges and opportunities to meet regional and global project timelines. 

What we are looking for
Required Qualifications
·    Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry or equivalent field;
·    Experience in analytical laboratory environment and instrumental techniques (HPLC, UHPLC, CG);
·    Experience in executing method validation and method transfer processes focused on Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API).
·    Familiarity with regulations and guidelines related to method development and validation for drug substances.
·    Statistical evaluation of analytical data (focused on validation requirements RDC 166)
·    Intermediate English (oral and written communication).
Desired Qualifications
·    Solid experience in the pharmaceutical industry, specifically within R&D Analytical laboratories.
·    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
·    Familiarity with chromatographic relevant softwares (e.g: Empower);
·    Strong written and oral communications;
·    Ability to work independently and in a team environment;
·    Ability to manage priorities successfully.
