Position Overview
The Procurement Business Transformation Analyst will focus on extracting, analyzing, and interpreting data to support the procurement team's transformation initiatives. The role requires a hands-on approach to working with large data sets, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and compliance across various procurement processes. The role also involves working with ERP systems to support procurement activities and ensure alignment with business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Extraction & Analysis: Perform hands-on data extraction, cleaning, and manipulation from procurement systems, focusing on accuracy and completeness to support operational needs and decision-making.
- Data Manipulation & Visualization: Use tools like **SQL**, **Excel**, **Power BI**, and **SAP BW** to manipulate data and create visualizations that help the procurement team understand key metrics such as spend, supplier performance, and category performance.
- Master Data Maintenance: Ensure the integrity and upkeep of **master data** related to procurement categories, suppliers, and spend analysis. Work with ERP systems to maintain accurate procurement data.
- Reporting & Dashboards: Build and maintain dashboards and regular reports that provide insights into procurement performance. Automate routine reports to ensure ongoing visibility into key metrics.
- ERP System Support: Assist in the integration and optimization of procurement data within **ERP systems** (e.g., **SAP**). Support data-related tasks that enhance procurement system performance.
- Data Governance: Ensure compliance with data governance standards, particularly around **Master Data Governance (MDG)**, ensuring that data across procurement systems adheres to organizational guidelines.
- Category & Supplier Insights: Analyze data on supplier performance, category spend, and procurement trends to support procurement strategies and decision-making.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement within procurement data processes and provide data-driven recommendations for streamlining operations and improving accuracy.
Key Experiences:
- Strong experience in **data manipulation**, particularly in the context of procurement or supply chain data.
- Expertise in tools such as **SQL**, **Power BI**, **Excel**, and **SAP BW** to extract, analyse, and visualise data.
- Experience working with **ERP systems** (e.g., **SAP**), particularly with regards to procurement data and master data management.
- Proven ability to maintain data accuracy and integrity in high-volume data environments.
- Basic knowledge of **Source-to-Pay (S2P)** processes and procurement systems.
- Strong analytical skills, with a focus on turning data into actionable insights that can support procurement decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or a related field, with a strong focus on data analytics and hands-on data work.
- Bachelor’s degree in **Computer Science**, Data Science, Procurement, or a related field.
- Experience with **data management** and **ERP systems** (e.g., **SAP**) is required.
- Proficiency in **SQL**, **Power BI**, **Excel**, and other data analysis tools.
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is essential.
