What you will do

We are seeking a Senior Counsel, Regulatory Law to provide strategic legal guidance to brands within our U.S. consumer health portfolio. This role partners closely with cross‑functional teams to navigate a complex regulatory environment, support product innovation, protect brand integrity, and mitigate risk.

The ideal candidate is a practical, business‑oriented attorney with strong regulatory experience who can translate complex legal requirements into clear, actionable guidance.

As Senior Counsel, Regulatory Law, you will advise on a broad range of legal and regulatory matters, including regulatory compliance, advertising and labeling, claims substantiation, product innovation, and competitive challenges. You will provide timely, solutions‑oriented legal counsel while safeguarding the company’s interests and reputation. You will also play a key role in supporting business initiatives for brands within our U.S. portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

Regulatory & Product Lifecycle Support

  • Provide legal guidance to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, industry standards, and internal policies across OTC drugs, cosmetics, medical devices, and dietary supplements.

  • Advise on product innovation and development, labeling, and lifecycle management, including support for regulatory submissions and interactions with health authorities.

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate legal and regulatory risks.

Advertising, Marketing & Competitive Matters

  • Review advertising and promotional materials, including labeling and claims substantiation.

  • Advise on influencer, digital marketing, social media, and promotional activities.

  • Initiate, manage, and defend advertising challenges and competitive disputes.

Cross‑Functional Partnership

  • Collaborate with Marketing, R&D, Regulatory Affairs and other cross-functional partners to support business objectives.

  • Coordinate legal matters with colleagues across the Kenvue Legal & Compliance team.

Training & External Engagement

  • Develop and deliver training programs on advertising laws and regulatory compliance and best practices.

  • Monitor global regulatory and legislative developments and proactively advise on emerging risks and opportunities.

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.

  • At least 6 years’ experience practicing regulatory law, preferably in consumer health, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, or cosmetics. OTC drug experience is mandatory.

  • Strong knowledge of advertising and promotional law, regulatory compliance, and product stewardship.

  • Demonstrated ability to provide clear, practical legal advice in a matrixed, fast‑moving business environment.

What’s in it for you

Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges:

$225,250.00 - $318,000.00

This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate’s skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors.
