What you will do

The Senior Customer Development Analyst plays a critical role in translating data into meaningful insights that fuel category strategies, retailer activation, and omnichannel excellence. This role supports the Customer Development team by analyzing Walmart customer data to identify trends and patterns that can inform business decisions and develop plans to grow the business and category. The analyst will operate in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment and collaborate across cross‑functional partners including Shopper Insights, Customer Strategy, Brand, and the Walmart customer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze customer data to identify trends and patterns that can inform business decisions

  • Conduct analysis to assess effectiveness of promotional activities and strategies

  • Analyze and interpret both internal and external factors that affect sales performance

  • Utilize syndicated and customer data to incorporate into business plans

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement customer development initiatives

  • Create and deliver compelling stories that communicate key insights and recommendations

  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in customer development and analytics

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree
  • At least 2 years prior experience in customer sales, merchandising, analytics or in a consumer products environment
  • Ability to work effectively within a dynamic, complex matrix, changing environment
  • Ability to draw key insights that are actionable and will drive growth
  • Ability to summarize and influence decisions through data
  • Ability to assess marketplace and various consumer retail business models
  • Intellectual curiosity and the ability to challenge the status quo and search for creative solutions that can improve the way of doing things; willingness to experiment and pursue new ideas
  • Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint skills are required


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ecommerce and omnichannel experience preferred
  • Space management and CRM experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of the following data tools: syndicated scan, shopper panel and assortment optimization tools (Nielsen and/or Circana), ad tracking (Numerator), and Power BI preferred

What’s in it for you

Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges:

$90,100.00 - $127,200.00

This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate’s skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors.
