The Senior Media Manager on the Amazon business leads retail media team in the integrated media organization overseeing media strategy and spend for all Kenvue brands. Preferred Locations for this role are Summit, New Jersey but additional locations and remote work will be considered.
The Senior Media Manager - Amazon is responsible for leading a team that translates brand and customer strategy into a dedicated, cohesive media strategy, monitoring and optimizing performance, and defining the investment strategy to achieve business objectives anchored in POS sales and share performance for Kenvue’s total portfolio of brands. This role is intended to create joint value creation across brand and retail media at Kenvue to maximize the power of media. This role will lead the team and agency to strategically evaluate media opportunities, execute with excellence, optimize in real time, and report learnings while ensuring we are partnering with key internal and external stakeholders to drive synchronized plans across sales, media, and brand. This role have multiple direct report and deliver skills in people management, building strong team dynamics, pulling insights from large amounts of data, dealing with ambiguity, influencing a range of levels through the organization, and driving to results. Other primary responsibilities include:
Lead Amazon media team with multiple direct reports and be key critical partner to agency and internal cross-functionals for all brands on Amazon
Drive connection to the business and foster strategic relationships with brand growth, brand media teams, shopper teams, customer teams, agency partners, and retail media network aligning on key events or retailer priorities – with primary day to day contact for Amazon media and agency partners
Responsible for ensuring team delivers on time and complete delivery of all activities from planning, activation & analyst team
Responsible for total Amazon media budget oversight including a) tracking spend vs total commitments & individual programs and b) identifying and communicating budget sufficiency/insufficiency
Responsible for vetting new media capabilities and elevating feedback to integrated media team, agency partiers, and customer/shopper teams.
Owner for total Amazon media learning agenda, plan, and share-out
Responsible for ensuring transparency of planning, performance, and other data to broader org
Responsible for translating business objectives into media KPIs to inform planning and optimization
Responsible for being key partner in Amazon Ads QBR and other internal/external sharing
Responsible for overseeing team to vet MMM data ingestion, timing, creating & consolidating commentary, creating outputs for internal/external sharing
What we are looking for
Required Qualifications
A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Media, Sales, or related field. MBA preferred.
A minimum of 7 years’ experience of relevant experience.
Prior experience in media, brand marketing, shopper/trade, and/or ecommerce
Strong agency management and people management skills
Ability to work in a matrix environment and to interpret, communicate and negotiate complex business situations.
Ability to prioritize and to successfully lead multiple projects/initiatives.
Able to analyze data from multiple sources to drive insights influencing the development of high impact solutions; able to assess which variables are delivering results and link actions to business outcomes
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to build relationships across multiple functions internally and externally
Self-starter and creative problem solver, ready to think outside the box and bring new ideas to impact performance
Strong presentation skills including creating decks that can be shared with key stakeholders with comprehensive storyline
Strong analytical / computer skills, including MS Office Suite applications, sales database, and web applications is a requirement.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience in Pacvue, AVBP or other media data tools
Consumer Packaged Goods Experience – specifically health, personal care, beauty, OTC.
