What you will do

  • Lead and provide support to marketed products by supporting raw material qualifications related to cost improvements & dual sourcing initiatives., drive process improvements and help troubleshoot issues relating to Raw Materials at the manufacturing sites.
  • Execute technical aspects of projects, report metrics, and interact with and/or lead cross-functional teams to implement projects.
  • Lead Raw Material Characterization and Material Equivalency Science workstreams for alternate supplier qualifications, cross functionally and globally, acting as technical SME for raw materials used in Consumer products.
  • Work on cross functional initiatives with Sourcing teams to identify material qualification opportunities to ensure robust supply chain of Kenvue RM portfolio.
  • Support Ingredient Resiliency Initiatives to ensure compliance of the Kenvue Raw Material portfolio with current and future regulations through portfolio reviews and the development of action plans and strategies. Support a broad range of business-critical projects from regional to global meeting business timelines for supply disruptions to evolving Regulatory and Safety requirements.
  • Work independently to drive technical resolutions to Raw material related challenges impacting qualifications working with suppliers, cross functional teams like Source, R&D teams and manufacturing sites under defined timelines.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities to simplify/streamline our procedures to drive innovation and complexity reduction within the organization.
  • Be able to prioritize multiple projects with business impact often at the global level to drive timely implementation of changes to marketed products.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sourcing, Operations, Quality Assurance, Marketing, Research and Development (R&D), Regulatory, Toxicology, Claims and other functional groups as needed.
  • Manage a team of contractor resources to execute projects relating to Raw Material qualifications with assigned task-oriented workload

Key Responsibilities:

  • · Lead various raw material projects and ingredient initiatives for the Materials team Assess impact of raw material changes to different kinds of formulations
  • · Identify process improvement opportunities to simplify/streamline our procedures to drive innovation and complexity reduction within the organization.
  • · Conduct portfolio reviews and develop action plans and strategies to support Ingredient Resiliency Initiatives, ensuring compliance of the Kenvue Raw Material portfolio with current and upcoming regulations.
  • · Execute technical aspects of projects, report metrics, and interact with and/or lead cross-functional teams to implement projects
  • · Participate in multi-functional teams to investigate problems, implement resolution, and develop optimized processes
  • · Develop analytical testing strategy and implementation of tests and test methods as RM release criteria at manufacturing sites. Support and streamline RM reliability and robustness efforts for Global Consumer RM portfolio.
  • · Batch formulations to assess impact of raw material changes and prepare technical protocols, reports, and memos
  • Qualifications

Education:

  • · A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required. A degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related Scientific/Engineering discipline is required. An advanced degree is a plus.
  • · B.S with 2-4+ years of professional experience
  • · M.S/Ph.D. with 0-2+ years of professional experience
    Experience and Skills:

  • · Understanding of cGMPs and current FDA Compliance requirements is preferred.
  • · Experience in formulation or manufacturing of consumer/pharmaceutical products is highly preferred.
  • · Experience with consumer products, such as skin care, skin cleansers, hair care, oral care, baby care and/or deodorant products is highly preferred.
  • · Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
  • · MS Office (Word and Excel) proficiency and solid presentation skills are required.
  • · Ability to work cross-functionally in a team environment while being an individual contributor required.
  • · Experience managing projects is required.

What’s in it for you

Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges:

$100,300.00 - $141,600.00

This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate’s skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors.
