What you will do

The US Demand Planning Specialist is responsible for executing Demand Planning processes in alignment with Integrated Business Planning (IBP) for the Haircare business in the US market. This role requires strong partnership and collaboration with Marketing, Customer Logistics, Commercial, Finance and Supply Chain and the ability to identify and advise approaches to achieve congruence between demand generation initiatives and supply capabilities.

The role requires an understanding of, and leadership within, demand planning processes, Supply Chain KPIs (Customer Service, Inventory, Forecast accuracy), Supply Chain latest knowledge to drive agility and NPI project management and execution.

This role is the single point of contact for the brands in their portfolio and is responsible for driving the US Demand Planning activities in alignment with the US IBP process.

To be successful in this role the US Demand Planning specialist will need to,

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently while effectively prioritizing and managing time to meet deadlines.
  • Timely and accurate Demand Planning material-level Master Data entry.
  • Adhere to data integrity practices to ensure downstream Supply Chain activities are lockstep to latest thinking
  • Ensure all key stakeholders within the business franchise are knowledgeable and compliant regarding key processes that contribute to customer service within the business.
  • Drive the forecast review process within the franchise team, partnering with other key stakeholders in Demand Management and Supply Chain, to achieve optimal outcomes for the franchise.
  • Proactively analyze market dynamics and forecast error metrics to identify and effectively communicate opportunities for accuracy improvements.
  • Lead data-based discussions with Customer Logistics to discuss trends, anomalies, upcoming promotions, and other customer-level details to ensure assumptions captured.
  • Collaborate with Supply Planning to ensure optimal customer service and inventory outcomes.
  • Analyze reasons for service failures. Recommend and drive initiatives to prevent future occurrences.
  • Agree to appropriate safety stock parameters with Supply Planning to ensure customer service levels are met with responsible levels of inventory.
  • Systematically review inventory related opportunities with the business, to ensure that the business derives maximum financial return on its inventory.
  • Drive demand planning processes within franchise team, partnering with other key stakeholders.
  • Ensure robust and compliant forecasting building block process is in place.
  • Partner with NPI project management and track post launch.

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • A minimum of 4 years experience in Supply Chain role
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in demand & supply planning.
  • Strong leadership skills including an ability to influence, drive business results with a strong understanding of the overall business.
  • Strong team management skills, driving collaboration and clear decision making.
  • An understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning systems (ERP) and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Strong English language skills.

What’s in it for you

Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges:

$86,700.00 - $122,400.00

This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate’s skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors.
