HybridWhat you will do
The Senior Manager, Customer Logistics will lead and supervise a diverse team of Senior Analysts and Analysts focused on Collaborative Forecasting Planning and Replenishment (CPFR) activities with customers. This role involves the development and implementation of account-specific joint business plans, aimed at enhancing logistical efficiencies and ensuring on-time, in-full (OTIF) delivery and improving Retail In-Stock (RIS) metrics.
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with internal supply chain operations to drive improvements across multiple franchises, ensuring end-to-end accountability. They will play a crucial role in supporting sales initiatives that enhance collaborative topline growth and forecast accuracy. Additionally, the Senior Manager will cultivate customer relationships across various management levels and functional areas—including replenishment, merchandising, logistics, accounts payable, and sales—developing tailored strategies and tactics for customer-specific improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end logistics activities across the customer base, including functional responsibilities such as CPFR, Order Management and Customer Logistics with indirect matrix responsibility to the revenue center of excellence.
- Study and measure delivery processes and performance; drive alignment to enhance and harmonize at both the tactical and strategic levels. Develop strategic plans to drive ongoing improvements in service, supply, delivery and efficiency, as well as creative and innovative uses of process and technology.
- Be a driven leader with strong communications and analytical skills, with the ability to breakdown data for delivery to various audiences and possess the ability to influence and constructively challenge cross-functional project teams and business partners
- Develop, implement and manage internal and external partnerships. Required to work within a matrix structure to influence their indirect responsibilities across distribution, transportation, planning, trade customization and sales.
- Own the customer relationship and penetration strategy.
- Drive collaborative efforts to optimize efficiencies as well as to ensure our end customer is enabled to purchase our product every day, nurturing strong and productive relationships at various levels at retail customers.
- Key Performance Indicators for this role include improved service (RIS and OTIF-D), efficient ordering (Order Blocks/Touches), inventory optimization (Days of Supply), and improved logistics efficiencies (Cost to Deliver). Secondary indicators will be Deliver Enabled Value and overall customer P&L influence.
What we are looking for
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required, ideally with a focus in Supply Chain, Business or related fields.
- Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant work experience in customer service, forecasting, inventory management, supply chain management, logistics or materials management is required.
- Experience working on cross-functional and remote teams.
- End-to-end supply chain experience and/or commercial customer experience.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite, specifically with MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
- Previous experience in retail customers and strong understanding of retail logistics.
- Proven people management skills, with a track record of developing and motivating diverse teams.
- Ability to influence and build relationships within the commercial organization and with key customer stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to present data-driven insights and craft compelling narratives for diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategies that drive collaborative forecasting, planning, and replenishment initiatives.
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced degree or focused degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or related fields
- Minimum of two (2) years of people management experience
- Experience with Fast-Moving Consumer Goods Supply Chain, particularly in a leadership capacity
- Experience in SAP
- Experience with Six Sigma/Process Tools, Training or Certification
