What you will do
The Supply Chain Reliability Specialist is responsible for preparing schedules, analyzing product demand, and ensuring timely completion of work orders for manufacturing processes. You will also identify raw material requirements, monitor production issues, and expedite parts needed for production:
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategies to enhance supply chain reliability and efficiency
Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize supply chain processes
Monitor key performance indicators to ensure supply chain reliability goals are met
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement strategies to ensure a controlled flow of materials for manufacturing processes
Analyze product demand, sales patterns, and forecasts to optimize production schedules and material requirements
Monitor and anticipate production issues due to capacity constraints and new product launches
Ensure timely ordering and delivery of components to support manufacturing activities
Analyze data related to materials usage, inventory levels, and supply chain performance to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Evaluate the reliability of suppliers and materials, including conducting risk assessments to identify potential disruptions.
Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to materials reliability, such as lead times, defect rates, and stockout occurrences.
Work closely with suppliers to ensure adherence to quality standards and reliability expectations; establish strong relationships to drive continuous improvement.
Investigate and resolve issues related to material shortages or quality problems, employing root cause analysis techniques to prevent recurrence.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance materials handling, storage, and transportation efficiencies.
Collaborate with other departments (e.g., procurement, production, quality assurance) to align materials reliability strategies with overall business objectives.
Prepare and present reports on materials reliability metrics, performance trends, and improvement initiatives to management and stakeholders.
Leverage supply chain management software and analytical tools to enhance visibility and tracking of materials throughout the supply chain.
Conduct evaluations and audits of suppliers to assess their capability and reliability in meeting supply chain requirements.
Facilitate change management initiatives related to materials processes and systems to improve reliability and efficiency.
Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing the reliability and efficiency of the supply chain.
What we are looking for
Required Qualifications
4-6 years of experience in supply chain management or related field
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or equivalent
Proven working experience in supply chain management
4-6 years related experience in manufacturing or production planning
University/Bachelors Degree or Equivalent in Supply Chain Management or related field
Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data
Experience with production planning systems and tools
Desired Qualifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Proven track record of successfully improving supply chain reliability and efficiency
- Experience in project management and projet implementation
- Excellent communication skills to establish effective communication with various groups and ensure on-time delivery of products
