Channel Development Manager is responsible for driving end-to-end channel strategy, strengthening in-store execution excellence, and delivering sustainable revenue growth across assigned channels. The role requires strong ownership in managing retail partners, optimizing execution at store level, and leveraging market insights to maximize business performance. Job Description

Trade Customization:

  • Coordinate trade customization activities for the market, including New Product Introduction (NPI), Product In, Product Out (PIPO), and ongoing SKU management.
  • Collaborate with 3PL service providers, marketing teams, and planners to ensure timely, compliant execution of trade customization activities, with all necessary documentation in place (such as work instructions and quotations).
  • Monitor inventory levels of local co-pack SKUs, and create purchase orders for replenishment to minimize out-of-stock situations.
  • Prepare and present monthly and quarterly reports on PPM inventory provisions.

Redeployment Planning:

  • Ensure stock sufficiency in relevant storage locations for Malaysia (MY) and Singapore (SG) sales.
  • Initiate and manage weekly deployments to Singapore.
  • Trigger weekly deployments from the Bonded Storage Location into MY storage locations to support MY sales and co-packing activities.
  • Coordinate with 3PL service providers to ensure timely booking of trucks into SG, ensuring that stock transfer orders (STOs) arrive as planned.
  • Proactively identify and communicate risks associated with delays in any part of the process, ensuring timely resolution.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field
  • Experience in trade customization, inventory management, and supply chain operations (preferably in FMCG/manufacturing)
  • Experience coordinating with 3PL providers, marketing, and planning teams
  • Strong experience in SKU management, PIPO, and NPI processes
  • Hands-on experience in inventory monitoring and purchase order (PO) creation
  • Familiarity with regional distribution and stock deployment processes
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills (inventory and operational reporting)
  • Detail-oriented with experience handling documentation (work instructions, quotations, STOs)
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in FMCG or similar fast-moving industries
  • Familiarity with trade customization processes such as NPI and PIPO
  • Understanding of co-packing operations and coordination with 3PL providers
  • Strong coordination skills in managing cross-functional stakeholders and timelines
  • Proactive in identifying risks and ensuring smooth execution of operations
