What you will do
We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Visual Designer to craft compelling, user-centric designs that elevate our digital products and brand identity. You will be working closely with the Design lead, UX designers, Visualization and app development team to understand challenges, pain-points and identify ways in which UI development can be simplified, fast-tracked.The ideal candidate combines creativity with technical expertise to deliver visually engaging interfaces, training and design systems that align with business objectives and enhance user experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Create high-quality visual designs for web, mobile, and digital platforms, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines.
- Develop and maintain visual standards, color palettes, typography, and iconography.
- Work closely with UX designers, product managers, and developers to translate wireframes and concepts into polished visuals.
- Contribute to and maintain a scalable design system for digital products.
- Ensure pixel-perfect implementation and provide design specifications to development teams.
- Handle changing stakeholders’ requirements - High levels of resilience and self-motivation.
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal, to express complex & technical issues.
- Careful and diligent UI testing leading to meticulous reporting and tracking of bugs/changes.
- Communicate effectively with VD, Functional and Dev teams for smooth handovers.
- Cooperate across teams within an agile delivery framework.
- Work within deadlines, in a dynamic environment and across different time-zones.
- Estimate and plan tasks and timelines accurately.
- Be open to feedback, critique, and co-creation with internal & external stakeholders.
- Explain the reasons behind design decisions clearly and objectively.
What we are looking for
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Fine Arts, Visual Communication, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in visual design for digital products or marketing.
- Proficiency in Figma, Adobe XD, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator).
- Strong understanding of UI principles, color theory, typography, and responsive design.
- Ability to work in Agile environments and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating impactful design systems for enterprise, commercial, and data-related applications.
- Experience designing UI for data-driven products.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, and visual design tools like Adobe Creative Suite - Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign.
- Mastery of design fundamentals (form, color, balance, harmony, etc.) and practical knowledge of the design process, including system maps, mind maps, personas, journey maps, wireframes, style guides, VD assets, and spec docs.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design decisions.
- Strong problem-solving skills, curiosity, and adaptability to different contexts and challenges.
- High levels of persistence, self-drive, enthusiasm, and a responsible attitude to deliver high-quality work within deadlines.
- Balanced interest in both technology and aesthetics.
- Good understanding of the basics of form - Harmony, balance, rhythm etc, sense and technicalities of Typography - know tracking from kerning, sense and theory of Color - know complementary from analogous colors.
- A natural talent for layout and composition - positive / negative spaces + eye movement.
- Practical knowledge and experience of publication design and printing methods.
Desired Qualifications
- Master’s degree or equivalent Fine Arts, Visual Communication, or related field.
- Experience in Supply Chain/ Commercial domain or with any CPG company is preferred.
- Experience managing multiple priorities
- An attentive observer and listener; quickly grasps the smallest details of stakeholder’s business challenge; embraces complexity.
- Ability to describe end user with clear and precise details.
- Aware of the differences and challenges of cross device and cross platform design and delivery - Grids, pixel densities etc.
- Solid understanding of usability and other design best practices.
- Practical knowledge of the design process and its output at every stage - system-maps, mind-maps, personas, journey-maps, wireframes, style guides, VD assets, Spec docs
- Very familiar with the current and past visual treatments and techniques - impressionist, cubist, modernist, pop, fractal, gradients, long shadows, retro, gloss, textures, tessellations etc.
