What you will do

The Senior Manager, Workday Technical Product Owner & Solutions Lead is responsible for managing day-to-day systems operations, driving company initiatives, and ensuring systems support for local or global operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the technical product ownership and solution design for Workday implementation projects as well as run-the-product initiatives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define the roadmap and prioritize product features based on business needs
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in Workday solutions to optimize processes and enhance user experience
  • Provide thought leadership in Workday best practices and emerging trends in HR technology
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
  • Partner with the Business Product Owner to define strategic vision, goals, and objectives for the Workday Product in alignment with business and technology strategies
  • Lead and manage operational steady state work while supporting projects as needed
  • Manage a matrixed product squad consisting of product analysts, functional/technical developers, and resources across the HR Digital and operations group
  • Prioritize backlog using technical expertise and customer needs to translate requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria for Workday enhancements and updates
  • Define and track metrics to measure value generation across product, operations, and team performance
  • Accountable for implementation and maintenance of necessary ISRM, Asset management, and other items
  • Actively participate and serve as an approver on the change approval board for enhancement requests to Workday while providing technical input such as feasibility, solution approach, etc.
  • Help Product Owners prioritize backlogs, manage constraints, and resolve cross-team dependencies; manage demand intake as required
  • Interact with other teams and vendors to implement cross-squad tasks and ensure timely delivery; collaborate across Product/Platform Group for clear dependencies and enablers
  • Drive decisions on recommended solutions


What we are looking for

Required Qualifications:

  • 8-10 years of experience in Workday implementation and technical product ownership
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; Master’s degree is preferred
  • Proven track record of leading successful Workday projects from concept to implementation
  • Experience with implementation projects such as Core HCM, Workday Recruit, Global Job Architecture, Workday Skills – highly preferred
  • Must have hands-on experience with Workday Configuration/Integration
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Experience working with a diverse set of global HR and Payroll systems and other corporate functions
  • Deep understanding of HR/Payroll technology and IT landscape
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum frameworks and experience working on Agile teams


Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience leading Support/steady state teams
  • Experience in implementing APIs and cloud technologies like AWS or Azure
  • Product technology background with a strong understanding of platform integration and global mindset
  • Deep Global experience tailored for regional/local markets preferred
  • Ability to interface with required business counterparts globally
  • Proven innovative, agile and high-performing team mindset
  • Ability to network and orchestrate across a technology organization and with business stakeholders
  • Continual focus on opportunities to innovate keeping the employee experience a priority
  • Refining backlog by adding necessary technical features and epics; working with the vendor product owners for roadmaps and architectural integration
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently
  • Workday certifications preferred
  • Agile or scrum certified preferred

What’s in it for you

Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges:

$152,150.00 - $214,800.00

This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate’s skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors.
