What you will do
The Buyer APAC Sales and Distributor Services (SDS) and Marketing Operations (MOPS) is responsible for the development of strategic sourcing plans; sourcing negotiations and supplier contracting to improve competitive position to achieve business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Works with business and other supportive functions to fully understand business needs and search / develop / select reliable suppliers to deliver on those needs.
- Analyze, understand and interpret market dynamics and drivers, supplier capacity and constrains, quantity leverage, regional regulations and best sourcing practices.
- Sources and runs competitive bidding process for designated spend areas in line with the Global / Regional Strategy for a given SDS (Contact Center, eCommerce, Distributor Services, Field Force Services, Retail Broker and Merchandisers) or MOPS (Consumer Promotion and Instore displays, Direct Marketing and Fulfillment, Events and Marketing Materials) category or area of spend.
- In charge of low to medium complex negotiations in line with category strategy.
- Effectively utilizes procurement processes and procedures to achieve procurement functional goals and corporate governance requirements, whilst delivering business needs.
- Identifies repetitive buys as candidates for frame contracts and/or catalogues. Directs country requisitions to frame contracts and/or catalogues where available.
- Delivers individual annual savings targets.
- Establishes good working relationship with functional stakeholders.
- Ensures that all relevant contractual documentation is handled as per the defined Contract Management Process.
- Identifies non value-added processes or administrative work and suggest improvements.
- Works with operations, supply chain, quality and other functions to ensure suppliers deliver high performance level.
What we are looking for
Required Qualifications
- The candidate must have a University Degree in a Major Discipline (i.e. Engineering, Business, Economics, Law)
- The candidate must have at least 5 years of experience
- The candidate must be fluent, both written and speaking, in English
- The candidate must have good analytical and advance Excel skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in Procurement, ideally in marketing and sales categories.
