This position reports to Senior Supply Chain Manager Egypt and is based at New Cairo, Egypt.

Role reports to: Senior Supply Chain Manager Egypt

Location: New Cairo

What you will do 

The Import Specialist is responsible for Inbound Freight (IBF) of Finished Goods from the moment goods pass to Kenvue Egypt ownership, ensuring the customs clearing process is done correctly and on-timely basis for all imported products either for Consumer or other sectors of Kenvue. Gradually will take over the follow up responsibility of the Distribution Center.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensures that all documents are correct and compliant for each shipment and that  documents are presented to the bank on timely basis,

  • Ensures that all importations licenses are existing and active, follows up cheques issuance and makes sure that shipping documents are in order. Follows up with them until products are cleared from customs

  • Tracks IBF shipments and reports any delays. Resolves issues to avoid and demurrage fees

  • Reviews broker invoice and ensure that it was issued according to contract

  • Tracks IBF activity in coordination with regional teams, works with carriers to resolve issues and to enforce the Kenvue quality standards

  • Follows up all activities of inbound, outbound, warehousing, co-packing and transportation performed by the local DC

  • Manages and communicates importation criticalities to all stakeholders in order to modify / act according to updated plan, including suppliers for shipping documents / bank / MOH / customs broker

  • Is responsible for smooth operation of IBF, coordinate with Transportation group in Zug along with Customs clearance process for Finished Goods

  • Monitors KPIs and contribute to: NTS Delivery, UFR, Source Direct, Distribution

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business or Similar

  • 3 -5 years of experience in in Supply Chain/Purchasing function or other closely related function within FMCG industry

  • Proficient skills in English (oral & written) and in MS Office (excel, word, power point etc)

  • Understanding of of Regulatory Affairs / Pharmaceutical environment will be advantageous
