What you will do
The Maintenance technician is responsible for performing preventive and mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical systems, utilizing computerized maintenance management systems, maintaining maintenance logs and documentation, overseeing safe work habits, and performing moderate building repairs:
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with equipment and machinery to identify root cause of problems
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans to minimize downtime and increase efficiency
- Collaborate with other technicians and departments to identify opportunities for process improvement
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements to ensure best practices are being utilized
- Perform preventive and mechanical maintenance on all facilities equipment, including building controls, fire protection systems, and HVAC systems.
- Troubleshoot moderately complex mechanical and electrical systems and diagnose problems or repair machines.
- Utilize computerized maintenance management system for work orders and preventive maintenance entries and closures.
- Maintain maintenance logs, part requisitions, preventive maintenance inspection records, and other required maintenance documentation.
- Oversee safe work habits in handling of equipment, tools, chemicals, and use of protective equipment.
- Assemble, install, maintain, and repair pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
- Set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, grinders, drills, and milling machines to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, fixtures, and tools.
- Remove, repair, and install walls, cable, and service outlets.
- Fabricate and repair counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures.
- Operate cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
- Plan, coordinate, inspect, and perform maintenance and support project management for facility related projects, including building remodeling and construction, equipment installation and/or placement, safety and environmental compliance, mechanical systems maintenance, and energy conservation.
What we are looking for
Required Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience in maintenance or related field
- Vocational, certificate, technical or associate's degree in a related field
- Experience troubleshooting moderately complex mechanical and electrical systems.
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems.
- Ability to maintain maintenance logs, part requisitions, preventive maintenance inspection records, and other required maintenance documentation.
- Knowledge of safe work habits in handling of equipment, tools, chemicals, and use of protective equipment.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with others

- Experience with assembling, installing, maintaining, and repairing pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
- Experience with machine tools such as lathes, grinders, drills, and milling machines.
- Experience with removing, repairing, and installing walls, cable, and service outlets.
- Experience with fabricating and repairing counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures.
- Experience with operating cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
- Ability to plan, coordinate, inspect, and perform maintenance and support project management for facility related projects.
