What You Will Do 

The FTA and HS Code Analyst supports compliant cross‑border trade activities by executing defined trade compliance processes related to Harmonized System (HS) classification, customs valuation support, Free Trade Agreement (FTA) qualification, and import and export regulatory requirements, including license and quota administration. The role focuses on accurate data maintenance, documentation, and control execution to support compliant import and export operations.

This position applies established trade compliance procedures across international material movements, including raw materials (RM), packaging materials (PM), NPD/NPI materials, finished goods (FG), commercial and non‑commercial samples, capital equipment, and other dutiable or non‑dutiable goods. The role contributes to audit readiness, post‑entry review support, and process excellence by ensuring consistent execution of assigned controls and timely escalation of exceptions.

Key Responsibilities

HS Classification

  • Execute assigned HS classification controls using approved guidance and procedures
  • Perform HS classification data entry and maintenance in designated systems
  • Maintain classification documentation and supporting evidence in accordance with record‑retention requirements

Customs Valuation Support

  • Support valuation controls by collecting, validating, and maintaining valuation‑related data
  • Assist with review of valuation elements such as assists, royalties, freight, and insurance
  • Perform valuation data entry and identify discrepancies for escalation

FTA, Origin, Licensing & Quota

  • Support country of origin determinations by gathering and organizing required documentation
  • Assist with FTA qualification activities and documentation maintenance
  • Track import and export license and quota usage and flag potential issues

Documentation, Review & Escalation

  • Review customs documentation and broker submissions for completeness and consistency
  • Identify and document exceptions or data gaps and escalate per defined procedures
  • Support customs clearance exception resolution under guidance

Audit, Evidence & Process Excellence

  • Assist with post‑entry reviews, audits, and regulatory inquiries by preparing documentation and evidence
  • Maintain audit‑ready records and organized evidence repositories
  • Follow established procedures, work instructions, and control narratives
  • Participate in training and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Team Leadership & People Management

  • No people management responsibility
  • Provides execution support and coordination with internal stakeholders

Budget & Financial Accountability

  • No budget ownership
  • Supports duty accuracy and financial compliance through accurate data execution

Stakeholder & External Interface

  • Trade Operations, Compliance, Finance, Logistics, and IT teams
  • Customs brokers and trade service providers
  • Internal Audit and external auditors (supporting role)

Key Decision Rights

  • Execute assigned trade compliance controls and data maintenance activities
  • Identify and escalate compliance issues or data discrepancies
  • No approval authority for classification, valuation, or FTA determinations

What We Are Looking For

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, International Business, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 2–4 years of experience in trade compliance, customs operations, or import/export support roles
  • Knowledge of additional language will be an added advantage (Thai)
  • Basic knowledge of HS classification, customs documentation, and trade compliance processes
  • Experience working with ERP or trade compliance systems

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Ideal Candidate Requirements

  • 4–6 years of experience in trade compliance or global trade operations
  • Exposure to HS classification, valuation support, or FTA documentation
  • Experience supporting audits or post‑entry reviews
  • Trade compliance coursework or certification in progress
