What you will do

The Metro Asia Marketing Lead (Senior Director) is responsible for overseeing product teams, developing public relations programs, cultivating media relationships, and implementing customer loyalty programs. You will also provide senior counsel on communications consistency and lead a team of professionals to deliver impactful results:

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Provide visionary leadership to define and execute innovative marketing strategies that drive substantial growth across the Metro Asia market, ensuring alignment with global brand objectives. Take ownership of the Metro Asia 3-Year Operating Plan (3YOP), prioritizing initiatives, managing brand investment models, and strategically allocating budget expenditures to maximize impact across the cluster.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Lead and mentor cross-functional teams in the execution of comprehensive marketing campaigns and initiatives that are locally relevant and effective. Foster collaboration with regional teams to customize and localize global marketing campaigns, ensuring they meet the unique needs and preferences of diverse market segments.
  • Market Analysis: Spearhead in-depth market analysis to identify emerging trends and consumer behaviors, leveraging insights to seize growth opportunities and enhance brand positioning within the competitive landscape.
  • Brand Representation: Serve as the authoritative voice of the Metro Asia cluster, effectively communicating local needs and insights to Global Brands, Needstate Development Teams, Regional Development Leaders (RDLs), and Global Capability Teams (SPOC), thereby influencing strategic direction at the highest levels.
  • Budget Management: Strategically oversee and optimize budget allocations to ensure maximum return on investment (ROI). Make high-level decisions on prioritization of big bets and Brand Marketing Expenditure (BME) across brands and initiatives, including identifying and driving growth accelerators.
  • Public Relations Leadership: Champion the marketing team in crafting and executing high-impact public relations programs that resonate with brand objectives, driving significant media coverage and enhancing brand reputation.
  • Customer Loyalty Programs: Design and implement cutting-edge customer loyalty programs informed by research and data analytics, aiming to significantly boost customer engagement and retention across the cluster.
  • New Product Introductions (NPI): Lead the strategic direction for NPI assortment and launch decisions, overseeing the management process in collaboration with RDLs and Internal Marketing Operations (IMO) while ensuring effective coordination of timelines across the cluster.
  • Best Practices Scaling: Identify, develop, and scale best practices across Asia-Pacific markets, ensuring the effective deployment of global assets to maximize business impact and drive operational excellence.
  • Local Influencer Strategy: Develop and implement a strategic approach to local influencer partnerships, managing influencer relations, and overseeing ratings, reviews, and PR events to significantly enhance brand visibility and engagement.
  • Activation Excellence: Drive activation strategies to ensure compliance, optimize share of shelf, on-shelf visibility, and effective retail merchandising, including strategic placement and display initiatives that align with brand objectives.
  • Launch Planning: Direct comprehensive launch planning and sell-in strategies for new products, ensuring excellence in execution and activation throughout the market, while driving cross-functional alignment and accountability.
  • Technology Adoption: Proactively explore, evaluate, and implement cutting-edge technologies and tools that elevate marketing efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring the cluster remains at the forefront of marketing innovation.

What we are looking for

  • Proven experience in marketing leadership roles, preferably within the Asia Pacific region managing teams and portfolios, including CXO, HCP, Essential Health, Skin Health and Self Care.
  • Deep understanding of consumer behavior, market trends, and the competitive landscape within the Asia Pacific markets, with a focus on tailoring strategies to meet regional demands.
  • Demonstrated track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies and campaigns that drive growth and engagement across multiple segments.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to influence and collaborate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Analytical mindset with extensive experience in budget management and optimizing return on investment (ROI) across various initiatives and campaigns.
  • Proficient in leveraging data and insights to inform decision-making and shape strategic direction, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market needs.
