The Coordinator, Legal & Compliance Practice Operations will help support the implementation of strategic goals, policies and procedures, use of progressive systems and technologies and key metrics within Kenvue’s Legal and Compliance (KLC) function.
The coordinator will provide input and contribute to the development and implementation of best in class legal and compliance operations, as well as play an important role in identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities. Candidates must be self-starters who demonstrate the internal drive necessary to manage multiple tasks and exert influcence on the overall objectives and long-range goals of the organization.
In addition to the global Legal and Compliance function, with members in 50+ different countries, this role will liaise directly with Finance, Audit and Technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Leadership to translate Legal & Compliance strategies and goals into programmatic priorities and plans.
- Support department efficiency and spend optimization initiatives, including implementation and roll out of new processes and technology.
- Lead matter budget and quarterly accrual processes including requesting, tracking and reporting.
- Performing external spend and rate analysis to ensure financial management initiatives are met.
- Lead Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) system compliance, including maintaining controls and documentation to ensure key processes are compliant with Kenvue standards.
- Understand current challenges and near term needs to identify opportunities to eliminate inefficiencies, implement automation and enable the team to work on high value tasks.
- Support initiatives for the North America region, including roll out of new processes and technology.
- Assist in project management opportunities.
- Support initiatives to foster innovation through the use of new technology and AI.
What we are looking for
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent in finance, accounting, business administration or legal.
- 5+ years of work experience required in the legal industry such as a law firm, corporate legal department or legal consulting practice, with 2+ years in a legal operations role.
- Proven success operating in global, matrix environment with numerous cross functional business partners
- Must have excellent presentation skills, ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely, and the ability to respectfully question and/or challenge others to think through problems, improvement opportunities, solutions, and plans
- Proven ability to examine issues, make appropriate decisions and ensure prompt actions.
- Experience with technology used in a Corporate legal department including but not limited to: Matter and Case Management, Global eBilling, eSourcing, PowerBI and/or Tableau, Power Automate, Sharepoint, Teams, CoPilot, Writer
- History of performance aligned with Kenvue Values and Behaviors
- Project management experience a plus.
