This position reports into Packaging lead and is based at Mumbai.

What you will do

This role is based in Mumbai in R&D function. You will lead end-to-end packaging development—ensuring robust specifications, strong technical rigor, and right first time execution aligned with Kenvue packaging policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead packaging development activities for baby products, aligned to the regional and global operating model and business plans, while ensuring its implementation is in line with Kenvue’ s packaging policies for superior consumer experience.

• Leads, coaches, and manages project resources and professional staff, providing ongoing feedback and development to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.

• Accountable for primary and secondary packaging component specification robustness, accuracy, and completeness.

• Ensures project delivery meets high quality standards and right technical rigor. Compiles and analyzes data to identify root causes, draw conclusions, and generate comprehensive reports. Proactively escalates business and technical issues, as well as critical decision-making needs, in a timely manner.

• Demonstrate strong technical skills in mold development for primary packaging, along with the ability to systematically assess mold validation reports.

• Exhibits a strong ability to be agile and prioritize diverse and dynamic tasks and effectively manage critical programs, ensuring seamless execution and attention to detail.

• Partners with the cross-functional team to lead new package development based on consumer insights, delivering the targeted consumer benefit and key claims, while meeting cost targets.

• Brings an external perspective by identifying, evaluating and championing technical advancements, design trends and innovations in packaging.

• Stay abreast of new developments from suppliers and competitors and promptly communicate relevant insights to the appropriate management teams as necessary.

• Develop packaging solutions that adhere to the company’s sustainability commitment by incorporating recyclable & reusable materials, reduce waste and environmental footprints through comprehensive assessments via appropriate tools.

• Represents packaging professionals in key internal and external forums.

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications

• Required 8+ years of experience in packaging, ideally within the consumer goods/cosmetics sector

• Post graduate degree in Packaging preferably from Indian Institute of Packaging or SIES School of Packaging.

Desired Qualifications

• Knowledge and Expertise of wide variety of packaging technologies such as injection and blow molding, flexible film, glass bottle, tube, decoration, etc.

• Proficient in English to manage projects across countries.
