This position is reported into Business Unit Director - Self Care Non-Marketing

               

Location: Rotkreuz

WHAT YOU WILL DO

As the Regional Design Leader for the EMEA region, you will shape and drive a consistent Kenvue Design vision across brands within the region. You will partner closely with Regional Marketing, local brand teams leadership in the region and Global Design Leaders counterpart to elevate brand design strategy, brand world systems and guidelines driving executional excellence across all brands managed with the EMEA portfolio.

As a key strategic partner in the region, you will ensure that our design vision is executed consistently while fostering creativity and innovation. Your leadership will be instrumental in aligning brand strategies with regional market needs, driving excellence in design execution, and building a high-performing design culture in the region.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Brand Strategy & Identity Leadership (Regional Scope)

  • Lead the Regional Design strategy across the full brand portfolio, ensuring all brands consistently reflect global identity, category standards, and regional consumer insights.

  • Shape and elevate identity systems by driving consistency, clarity, and craft excellence across typography, layout, imagery, and overall brand expression for all brands in the region.

  • Translate global brand strategies into cohesive regional design direction, enabling Brand Design Leads to adapt with cultural nuance and consumer relevance across markets.

  • Influence brand-building decisions across the region by bringing design-led perspective to strategic discussions, innovation pipelines, and commercial priorities.

Governance, Guidelines & Standards (Multi‑Brand Ownership)

  • Build, uphold, and continuously evolve brand guidelines and executional guidance across all brands, ensuring consistency and design integrity across markets.

  • Establish and maintain design quality frameworks, toolkits, and scalable processes that enable efficient, high‑quality delivery across all regional design teams and agency partners.

  • Ensure all brand executions meet global standards, local regulatory requirements, and sustainability expectations.

  • Partner with global design leadership to harmonize standards and advocate regional needs in global guideline updates.

Cross‑Functional & Regional Collaboration (Leadership Across Markets)

  • Partner with regional Marketing Leadership, Country Marketing teams, Insights, R\&D, Regulatory, Retail Excellence, HCP Excellence, and Commercial to ensure design impact across business priorities.

  • Align and influence senior stakeholders across markets to adopt unified design principles, standards, and consumer-centric ways of working.

  • Serve as the primary regional point of contact for Global Brand Design teams, ensuring smooth communication, shared understanding, and aligned execution across markets.

Project & Workflow Leadership (Regional Operations & Excellence)

  • Oversee prioritization, capacity planning, and resource alignment across all regional Brand Design Leads and workstreams.

  • Establish and manage streamlined workflows, tools, and processes that enable speed, quality, and cross-functional efficiency across markets.

  • Guide development of regional design briefs, ensuring clarity of objectives, strategic alignment, and actionable insights for Brand Design Leads.

  • Stay actively connected to industry, cultural, and creative trends, applying them to elevate both brand identity and regional consumer experiences.

Creative Direction & Talent/Partner Management (Portfolio Leadership)

  • Lead, coach, and develop Brand Design Leads and internal designers, elevating creative capability and fostering a culture of growth, collaboration, and accountability across the region.

  • Direct and manage relationships with external design agencies, global creative partners, production partners, and content studios—ensuring consistency and excellence across all brand touchpoints.

  • Champion design storytelling across the region by articulating strategic rationale, consumer insights, and creative choices to senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

  • Ensure all brand experiences across the region reflect Kenvue’s commitment to sustainability, regulatory integrity, and responsible brand-building.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Required Qualifications

  • 12+ years of progressive brand design experience, with a strong focus on consumer brands and multi‑market execution.

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Graphic/Brand Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.

  • Proven experience leading design across a multi‑brand portfolio or regional/global markets, with demonstrated impact on brand equity and business outcomes.

  • 4–6 years of people leadership, including coaching senior designers, building capability, and managing cross‑functional and agency teams.

  • Expertise in global‑to‑local design adaptation, including regionalization of identity systems, packaging, and experience design.

  • Strong strategic, conceptual, and storytelling skills, with the ability to simplify complex ideas and influence senior stakeholders across markets.

  • Demonstrated ability to drive operational excellence, including improving workflows, tools, governance models, and regional design standards.

  • Deep experience in packaging, identity systems, and end‑to‑end consumer experience across digital and physical touchpoints.

  • Strong cross‑functional leadership, partnering with Marketing, Insights, R\&D, Regulatory, and Commercial teams to drive alignment and decision‑making.

  • Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), and contemporary design and collaboration tools.

  • Familiarity with sustainability frameworks and a track record of embedding eco‑friendly principles in packaging and brand experience design.

  • Experience applying regulatory and compliance requirements within design across multiple markets.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience leading regional or global design transformation initiatives, including capability building and org/system design.

  • Expert‑level craft skills across typography, layout, design systems, and visual storytelling.

  • Experience working in highly regulated categories (e.g., healthcare, OTC, personal care).

  • Background managing external creative ecosystems, including global agencies, production partners, and content studios.

  • Demonstrated passion for design leadership, innovation, and elevating brand experience standards across markets.

  • Strong ability to anticipate regional market needs, cultural insights, and competitive dynamics to guide proactive design strategy.
