The Head of Shopper MYSG is responsible for managing daily advertising and sales promotion activities, developing sales processes and pricing models, and leading the attraction, coaching, and performance appraisal of your sales and marketing team to achieve business objectives. You will also recommend product improvements and drive market research for volume growth:
Key Responsibilities
Spearhead the development and execution of shopper-centric strategies that drive market growth and enhance consumer engagement across Malaysia and Singapore, integrating digital and in-store experiences to elevate brand presence.
Lead and manage cross-functional marketing and sales teams, fostering a high-performance culture through coaching, mentoring, and performance appraisals.
Develop and implement comprehensive sales processes, pricing strategies, and marketing programs to maximize sales growth and profitability while ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Analyze emerging retail and market trends, shopper behaviors, and customer needs to proactively adapt strategies, recommend product enhancements, and support new product development for sustained business impact.
Cultivate strategic partnerships with key retailers and stakeholders to co-create value-driven shopper experiences and maximize category performance.
Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and motivation of marketing and sales staff to build a capable and committed team.
Research and identify new market opportunities and applications to drive volume growth and expand market presence.
What we are looking for
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
8-10 years of progressive experience in marketing, sales management, shopper marketing, or retail management roles.
Proven track record of managing teams and delivering business results within budget and policy frameworks.
Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills to develop effective sales and marketing strategies.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to coach, motivate staff, and influence senior stakeholders.
Desired Qualifications
Strong foundation in shopper insights and retail dynamics.
Exceptional ability to blend analytical thinking with creative problem-solving to craft compelling shopper journeys and measurable business outcomes.
Experience managing diverse teams and collaborating across multiple departments and external partners.
Ability to anticipate customer needs and translate insights into actionable product and marketing initiatives.
Experience in developing pricing models and sales processes that drive profitability and growth.
Proven leadership skills in a fast-paced, evolving market landscape.
