Role reports to: Associate Director - MSS Skin Health APAC

Location: Singapore

What you will do

Leading development and execution of Skin Health medical plans in APAC region. This position reports to the Associate Director & Head of Medical & Safety Sciences, Skin Health, based in Singapore. This role is an individual contributor role located in Singapore. In this role, you will be responsible for the development and execution of the medical plans and associated initiatives enabling sustained growth of the skin health brands in APAC. The Associate Medical Manager, Skin Health will maximize the value and mental availability of our skin health brands with consumers, patients and relevant healthcare professionals (HCPs) in the APAC region aligned to the companies’ vision, values and business objectives. You will leverage your medico-scientific expertise, clinical insights and externally orientated mindset to enable the delivery of innovation and life-cycle management projects with tangible business impact covering scientific engagement, thought-leadership, evidence-generation and claims innovation. A critical part of this role is to proactively engage and maintain relationships with KOLs, Universities, Hospitals and Research institutions to drive Kenvue thought-leadership, scientific credibility, trust and advocacy for the science behind our skin health brands. Operating with an end-to-end mindset you will provide medical expert insights and robust risk-benefit management working in close partnership with your MSS colleagues and wider cross-functional teams at a local, regional segment and global brand level including marketing, R&D, business development, finance, compliance, translational sciences, communications and Regulatory affairs. For projects under your responsibility, you will be accountable for managing budget, timings, and executional delivery as aligned with the medical strategy, your line manager, and key stakeholders

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide medical support to the marketing and product planning groups for new products, line extensions, and new indications.

  • Support the marketing strategy through active participation in the Regional Franchise Teams as the Medical Affairs representative.

  • Draft scientific/medical position papers on various topics

  • Claims Support – responsible for review, validation and management of claims tables and support documents for the Skin Health Franchise.

  • Review, provide necessary scientific input and approve promotional materials or advertisements submitted by Sales and marketing, making sure that materials are compliant with internal policies and external regulations and all claims have substantiation and support.

  • Collaborate with the marketing managers in preparing scientific content for Consumer Health Medical Education activities

  • Conduct training to technical and business partners on products and conditions

  • Deliver credible presentations on scientific matters to internal and external customers, where requested

  • Attend relevant scientific meetings and conferences and develop summaries of key messages for use within the company – such as key areas of scientific/company interest, new trends in diagnosis and management of illnesses relevant to consumer products, and updates in medical governance.

  • Assist in addressing product specific medical information issues and/or draft recommendations and conclusions with other functions for appropriate course of action

  • Provide medical and scientific information to support new product launches, including licensing activities.

  • Research and index relevant scientific and medical literature to maintain knowledge of organization’s products and awareness of industry trends/changes.  Circulate relevant literature to colleagues.

  • Provide medical and scientific support for marketed products. Drafting and updating regional procedural documents related to Medical Affairs.

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications- An advance degree (e.g. PhD or MD) is required.

Preferably with dermatology industry-relevant experience supporting both innovation and life cycle management projects.

Demonstrated ability to work with matrix environment with local, regional and global cross-functional teams is essential with outstanding communication, mental and people agility skills to activate and engage others as well as influence without authority.

Strong commitment to compliance with relevant rules and procedures, and to scientific quality and integrity.

Proven track record of driving scientific thought-leadership and KOL advocacy- Experience of developing and administering internal technical training programs.

Being able to connect cross-functionally, building strong interdependent partnerships internally and externally.

Good project, budget and time-management skills.

Strong personal leadership skills with the ability to influence and constructively challenge the cross-functional team, stakeholders and business partners.
