Sales Operation Manager

This position reports to General Manager MYSG and is based in Malaysia.

Position Summary

We have a great opportunity for a Sales Operation Manager to join our Consumer Health business. Working within the Customer Development Team, you will be responsible for leading and shaping our commercial processes, ensuring business hygiene, and achieve operational efficiency. You will work closely with the CD Team, Finance, IT, and other cross-functional teams.

Key competencies

Apply in-depth understanding of customer and marketplace dynamics to ensure business hygiene and improvement efficiency of Gross to Net in P&L

  • Clear understanding of Gross to Net components and levers of each
  • Data driven and understand what’s the best way for it to be delivered
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the brand P&L and its components to determine implications of GTN decisions on profitability
  • Strong analytical capabilities to lead customer and brand performance analysis and deliver recommendations
  • Process oriented and a good working understanding of internal CD and customer processes
  • Can be a change agent by challenging status quo and provide solution options

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop business scorecards and sales reports (daily and monthly) to enable decision making driven by clear business insights
  • Sales incentive program management (design, assess, monitor, and analyse)
  • Net Revenue Management that includes returns, discount, and TP analysis to ensure ROI and prevent overspending
  • Month end reporting (TP, and other required quarter and periodic reports)
  • Custodian of all CD related contracts
  • Custodian of data (Sell-in, sell-out, inventory)
  • Custodian of sales related SOPs (TP, TT, etc)
  • Oversees AR by working with CD Team and I2C team

What we are looking for

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required
  • Minimal 5 years of Sales Management Experience in an FMCG environment essential
  • Commercial understanding with strong financial acumen
  • Understanding of P&L Development
  • Experience with Sales/Business Operations, Sales Force Effectiveness, Sales Finance, Analytics, or other related roles
  • Can do attitude, with the ability to influence and work in a collaborative way
  • Proven implementation ability
  • Proactive and results driven
  • Good Interpersonal skills with the ability to influence
  • Flexibility to adapt plans/challenges as they arise
