Role reports to: Manager-R&D Q&C

Location: Mumbai

What you will do

• The Senior Specialist-R&D Q&C is responsible for review of documents which includes but not limited to Procedures, laboratory non-conformances, change controls, Investigations, CAPA reports, test methods, validation protocol and reports, instrument qualification documents, computerized system validation documents, stability protocols and reports, method transfer protocols and reports, technical justifications, providing coaching and training to employees, leading compliance risk identification, and ensuring adherence to quality agreements and compliance requirements:

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage research and development quality & compliance processes to ensure product quality and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and enhance R&D procedures.
• Conduct thorough analysis of R&D data to identify trends and areas for improvement
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior Q&C  specialists to foster professional development and growth.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure investigations are in compliance with quality assurance standards and regulations.
• Lead and support the facility in identifying and eliminating compliance risks related to non-conformance investigations and quality systems.
• Provide coaching and training to employees on quality assurance procedures and best practices
• Supplier Qualification & monitoring to ensure compliance with Regulations, Kenvue standards, quality agreements and specifications
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to enhance quality assurance processes.
• Deployment of Quality Management Systems transformation for R&D Mumbai.
• End to end compliance of analytical and microbiology R&D laboratories.
• Conduct or co-ordinate site’s Internal Audits/Surprise checks and supplier audits, prepare quality agreements with suppliers as and when required.

 What we are looking for

Required Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Science (M.Sc Microbiology/ Chemistry).

• Proven working experience in quality assurance and compliance within a manufacturing or laboratory setting (Minimum 12 years’ experience)
• Must have  Auditor Certifications (Lead Auditor) & experience in Qualification of Suppliers.
• Knowledge of good manufacturing practices and good laboratory practices.
• Must have faced audits like USFDA, EU GMP, WHO etc.
• Governance of suppliers, distributors, contract laboratories and external manufacturers..
• Experience of project management including planning, leading, coordinating and execution of the projects.
• Must have experience in developing/implementing/testing automations like Electronic Document Management, Learning Management Systems, Quality Management System, laboratory Information Management System.
• Experience in Quality & Compliance of NPD/NPI from development stage to commercialization.

• Experience with quality assurance procedures and best practices
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify compliance risks
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to provide coaching and training to employees
